Japan has a reputation for leading the world in mobile innovations. While if todays news out of DoCoMo is any indication of things to come for mobile culture in the Philippines break out the gravy!
DoCoMo which is Japan’s largest carrier announced they are partnering with McDonalds to let you pay for your Happy Meal and get promos using your DoCoMo mobile phone . Totoo ito! Fries and keitai!

So I was thinking….maybe Aryty should do a tie up with Jollibee! Instead of sending load to the Philippines you could use Aryty to send a Chickenjoy or crispy fries! Anong sa tingin mo?? haha

There is a new site called Sparter which is an online exchange for virtual currencies and digital goods. Coincidentally Ebayrecently banned the sale of those very same items. Sparter will now fill that void.
Virtual worlds and economies are growing in popularity and the purchase of their currencies be it acorns or other is becoming big business. The cool thing about trading digital goods is the cross border earning potential to buy and sell items. In virtual economies the world is truly flat. The Gold Farmers in China are a great example. Job opportunities become local allowing people to stay with their families instead of having to head overseas to find work like todaysOFW’s. The future Pilipino bayanis might be W.O.W. players.
Sparter will drive efficiency of prices and allow sellers direct access to buyers reducing the need for brokers. This means more money in the pockets of the people who earned it! We like that so here’s a pound for the Sparter team and best of luck for success! I hope they become huge.

Check out Sparter

The Manila Timesreportsthat remittances from OFW’shit a record high of $12.8 billion in 2006.
“BSP credited the strong remittance inflow in part to improved platforms of banks and nonbank remittance companies that have adopted advanced systems and new technologies like the Internet, on-line banking, phone banking and remittance through short messaging.”

Innovations parang the ones mentioned by BSP not only increase the ease people can send remittances but reduce the high fees that companies likeWestern Union can charge for sending money to the Philippines.
Our goal atArytyis to keep you connected to your loved one’s by providing new ways to send load to the Philippines. With no extra fees or hidden charges it may be one of the fastest and easiest ways to help your family back home.

Make sure you send some load and a text message to your loved one for Valentine’s Day! Here’s a few of the SMS I received early this morning from +63

Love is the best music in the score of life. Without it, one would forever be out of tune in the immense choir of humanity. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I am here that a truck load when I’m gone. Hapi VDday!
A VALENTINE’S PRAYER: “Lord, because life is patient, help me to be sloe to judge, but quick to listen. Hesitant to criticize, but eager to encourage, help me always to remember your endless patience with me” Amen
,.+”"-., ,.-”"+., Happy Valentines, a message from my “HEART” a place where I keep special people like “YOU”
Maligayang araw ng mga puso, mga minamaha!
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Not far from my apartment in New York City is a shop that sells rice pudding. The minute you look at the store you know they spent lots of time and money to build the place and their location is prime. It’s actually hard to imagine how they could afford to stay in business selling only 1 thing which is rice pudding in about 20 flavors.
While I have never thought to myself “Gee, I could really go for some rice pudding” I have to admit their pudding is exceptional. (mmmm sarap) Not just the pudding but everything! The store design, the signage, the bowls and spoons and of course the service. You can have your pudding delivered, shipped or to go. If you decide to eat in the store you can even watch custom pudding animation and videos! No detail is overlooked.
One of the first things new customers say when they visit the store is “You know what else they should sell….” followed by something like ice cream or cupcakes. The suggestion being they will make more money if they had more products and that they are missing out on an opportunity. While guess what…being the best at pudding is their key to success.
The most difficult thing to do when you run a business is to say“no.” A million people will have a million suggestions of ways you should go with your company. “Just imagine all the things you could do!” Maintaining focus is tough. Sticking with a plan is tough. And taking your product or service beyond the edge to make it rock and develop a cult following is even harder.
At Arytywe want to be the best at keeping people connected to their loved ones’ by helping them to send load home. We are going to continue focusing on finding ways to make using Aryty more innovative, easy to use, reliable and all at the lowest prices possible. Load is Aryty’s rice pudding.
And what this small store taught me was that maintaining laser focus, being exceptional at whatever you do and making customers passionate about your service is not only a great strategy but can be very rewarding too. Their name says it all!

Wow, this is resourceful but you still need load!
A study by Learning Initiatives on Reforms for Network Economies (LIRNE), a Denmark-based NGO that focusses on telecom issues, shows that over half of India’s 140 million mobile subscribers make missed calls to convey a pre-agreed message.
