by NilsMay 1st is a national holiday in the Philippines as Labor Day is recognized. While many take the day off thousands of workers protest around the nation for higher wages and better working conditions.
The news always makes the rallies look worse than they are and here’s a shot of one near the Presidential Palace in Manila. President Arroyo announced new benefits for workers but the plans don’t include higher wages. Check out the reaction.
