BoP 2007 Conference September 9th-11th
by NilsThere is an amazing conference coming up next month at University of Michigan focused on the ever trendy Base of the Pyramid. C.K. Prahalad will be just one of the speakers at this 3 day event which is already sold out.
The William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan and the Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise at Cornell University are pleased to host Business with Four Billion: Creating Mutual Value at the Base of the Pyramid. This conference will be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan on September 9-11 and is sponsored by the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
The conference builds on the growing global interest in enterprise-based strategies for serving the four billion poor at the base of the economic pyramid (BoP). We expect to bring together the leading BoP business managers, policy makers, social entrepreneurs, academics, non-profit experts, and development agency professionals.
The conference will feature plenary sessions by leading BoP experts that delve into each of these three topics, as well as concurrent sessions that provide an opportunity for participants to engage cutting-edge thinkers on specific issues.
I have been invited to speak on a panel Monday morning the 10th about Aryty. If you plan on attending the event and would like to get together please drop me email (nils.johnson@gorillamobile.com) Hope to see you there.
