Daniel and I spent today meeting some amazing students at the Stanford Bases Winter Career Fair. It’s not hard to understand how so many of the next “Big Things” like this are created by students here. We were both really impressed by the quality and enthusiasm of the crowd.

Tonight was the ABS-CBN Premiere Screening of Sakal Sakali Saklolo at the Alex Theater in Los Angeles. The turnout was strong for both showings of the movie and fans couldn’t hold back their screams when Judy and Ryan arrived on the red carpet.

In between showings Judy and Ryan signed autographs for lucky VIP’s during the meet and greet. Yes, even yours truly made sure not to pass up the chance for a photo opp!

Sakal Sakali Sakalo was well received and the theater was full of laughter throughout the film. I’m glad Aryty got the chance to support the screening and give out free load for Globe, Smart and Sun Cell phones to fans that attended the event. We also were able to explain to many people carrying a roaming Philippine cellphone that Aryty can be used to buy load for those roaming Globe, Smart or Sun cellphones. Of course they were even more happy to hear they could get a free load to try us out!

Next stop on the Sakal Sakali Saklolo tour is Hawaii. If you live in Honolulu make sure to attend Sunday night at the Hawaii Theater. The movie will be playing at 8pm. Congratulations to Judy and Ryan on the terrific movie and to the ABS-CBN team for doing a great job with the Premiere!

This year I took advice from Jose and Lenin in our Network Operations Center to bring in 2008 from the Dominican Republic. While other’s from the Aryty Team took off to places like Japan and Costa Rica I got to lay back and enjoy warm weather, beautiful beaches and merengue. Thanks for the suggestion guys!
