The Macy’s Day Parade in NYC is a Thanksgiving Day tradition. Every year there are appearances of marching bands from around the country, famous ballons and celebrity performances.

This year is especially notable for Filipino’s as Charice Pempengco, the young singing sensation from the Philippines performed atop her own float! This honor is reserved only for the creme de la creme and further signifies Charice having made it! From Ellen to Oprah, performing live with Celine Dion and now riding down Broadway in the Macy’s Parade this gifted superstar is truly a force to be reckoned with!

While buying a Charice album or telling your friend “shhhhhhhh Charice is singing” might make you a fan I definitely think snapping a picture from TV makes you one! I’m guilty. Congratulations Charice! We are all proud of you!
